Thank you, everyone, for spreading the word about Dirt ‘N’ Nails Farms Inc. and what we will start come planting time, Spring 2012. I have prayed to have better news for you, but we are down to the last 10 days of fundraising $1000 for marketing tools we need for upcoming corporate fundraisers and we are just not there.

Flower bulbs have not been ordered. We have sent out over 290 emails as well as launched a campaign on Twitter and Facebook. (// Recycling of toner/ink cartridges and small electronics comes at a trickle here in Adams County, Colorado. From our estimation, this will amount to much less than $100 in donated materials by October 28th. (Contact Monte at for more information.) Cash from Causes will amount to less than $50 total, including a birthday wish, Give-A-Minute, and donations.

And yet we at DNN still trust in the Lord that He will reach out to the people and provide what is needed to get this started. He will guide people to DNN and we will rise to meet the challenge of starting what some call an impossible mission. People like Linda, a woman who has been left with a large estate of shop tools she does not know what to do with who will try to hold on to them for the first DNN workshop. People like Eric, a real estate agent with a huge heart who is now looking into the possibility of bankers who are sitting on land and needing a tax write-off or farmers who are about to lose their farms we can collaborate with. People like Gina, a helicopter pilot wanting to help with fundraising and teach downhearted, unemployed people how to soar on wings of eagles.

And people like you, willing to continue to spread the word that Dirt ‘N’ Nails Farms is up and running and needs the help of the body of Christ to get started.

Please, prayerfully consider donating, but get up in action and invite all of your friends to just look at Dirt ‘N’ Nails. You never know who God will bring to the table with stories and a heart for this ministry. Together we can make a difference.

Together we can sow seeds of hope for the hungry and homeless.
